Kronenraum artenreicher als Unterwuchs? Untersuchungen in
Tieflandregenwäldern Costa Ricas haben gezeigt, dass Bärenspinner
(Arctiidae) diverser in der Krone sind. Dagegen sind Spanner
(Geometridae) im Unterwuchs artenreicher.
Recent investigations in
lowland rain forests in Costa Rica showed that arctiid moths are more
diverse in the canopy than in the understorey whereas geometrid moths
are more species-rich in the understorey. See
