German Language Course Preparing for the German Language Examination (DSH)

The University of Jena offers a preparatory course for the German language examination (DSH), required for admission to degree studies. Participants have to meet hte prerequisites for admission to Jena University. The course will be held only if there are at least 12 participants..

Language prerequisites for the course :
Applicants have to submit certificates or proofs for Basic Level German / "Grundstufe Deutsch" (600 to 800 h of German classes - e. g. "Zertifikat Deutsch als Fremdsprache" or "Zertifikat Deutsch" of the Goethe-Institut).

Duration and scope:
One semester (300 hours in total)

Registration:
Please fill in the registration form by July 15 or January 15 respectively for the following semester. (Registration deadline).
If you have not submitted your application for studies at Jena University so far, please, send both your application and the registration form to our office immediately.

Course participants will be enrolled as students at the university during the language course. They are subject to the general regulations of enrolment of the university (health insurance, student fees).

Accommodation:
With your admission letter you will receive an application for accommodation in one of the residences run by the Studentenwerk Jena-Weimar. Jena University cannot guarantee a place in those residences.
Accommodation is at your expense.
