Research at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Macromolecular Chemistry (IOMC) focusses on the preparation and investigation of novel polymers with special properties for constructional and functional materials, as well as on the modification of polysaccharides. On the other hand, natural products and bioactive molecules as well as tool compounds are synthesized for Chemical Biology studies, as well as heterocycles, steroids, dyes, and peptides.
