A forum for all former international students and guest scholars of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena

As early as 1549, the Hohe Schule Jena, the predecessor of the University, had an international student: Stanislaus Bornbachius from Poland. He was followed by uncounted numbers of students and scholars from all over the world. They did much to enrich student life and science in Jena. That is why the Friedrich Schiller University wishes to stay in contact with all its former international students and scholars to give them the opportunity to remain members of the FSU family and take part in its life.

It is our aim to permanently add contact information to our alumni data base which will be the foundation stone of an alumni network. Therefore, the International Office would like to ask you to get into contact with us (see below). Please let us know when you were in Jena, what you did here and where you are now.

You are invited to register at the FSU Alumni-Forum which :

• informs you regularly about the life and latest news about FSU Jena 
• informs you about and invites you to conferences, summer academies, alumni get-togethers and similar events
• offers a platform for personal exchange of ideas and experiences
• serves as a basis for an alumni network 
• informs you about scholarships and reserach grants
