Strategic Equal Opportunity Steering Group


The work areas addressing the overall task of establishing equal opportunities are assigned to various central and decentral structural units. These are connected via the Strategic Equal Opportunity Steering Group (StSG) which is made up of the managers of these structural units and faculties and led by the Vice-President for Young Researchers and Diversity Management.

The central task of the Strategic Equal Opportunity Steering Group is to provide sound information and advice to University management on issues involving the University's overall strategy on gender equality and its implementation. In particular, it holds responsibility for the tasks involving strategy planning and conception, the implementation and monitoring of the success of medium to long-term measures, reporting and controlling as well as the evaluation of measures in the field of gender equality. The StSG includes representatives from the following areas relevant for the overall task of ensuring equal opportunities:

With respect to research assistants, PhD students, postdoctoral researcher, research

  • Prof. Dr. Uwe Cantner, Vice-President for Young Researchers and Diversity Management (group leadership)
  • Dr. Jörg Neumann, managing director of the Offices of the Vice President for Research and the Vice President for for Young Researchers and Diversity Management, Equal Opportunities and Family

 

With respect to students

  • Prof. Dr. Iris Winkler, Vice President for Learning and Teaching
  • Prof. Dr. Eva Schmitt-Rodermund, Head of Department for Academic and Student Affairs

 

With respect to professors and professoral appointment processes
