Where can I find job vacancies and what is the correct application procedure? What is the best way for me to enter into professional life?

At the University of Jena, several units promote the career service concept and provide you with relevant information and tips during your orientation process.

Career PointExternal link is a central point of contact of the university for any questions related to career. The advisory unit helps students, graduates, and international visiting scientists and scholars find their own career path and navigate it confidently. The team can advise you on your application documents, organize various workshops and company presentations. At their website, you can also find an extensive job section with regional and national job vacancies.

Central Student Advisory Service provides general information and advisory services for students and prospective students. In particular, the team assist them in reaching their decision to study, studying itself as well as supports students in solving their social and personal problems relating to university and studying. The Advisory Service supports students from the initial phase (study orientation), during their studies to their graduation.

Service Centre for Research and Transfer de offers strategic consultation for planning your scientific activities and assists you in planning your third-party funded projects with national and international partners. It supports you in building up your network with partners science and business, in protecting the property rights to your research results and much more.

Graduate Academy is the central point of contact for all people interested in doctoral studies, doctoral candidates, and postdocs of the University. It supports all young researchers on their career path. In addition to providing advice on doctoral studies, the Graduate Academy offers its own qualifications programme, manages the administrative part of doctoral studies and postdoctoral phase, and offers a specific welcome service and provide career advice.
