Application for subsequent semesters in medicine, dentistry or pharmacy

1. Application

Applications for subsequent semesters may be submitted twice a year to

Application deadlines:	15 July for the following Winter Semester 15 January for the following Summer Semester

Your application consists of:

• Application form for degree courses (Download from our website)
• Certified coy of your secondary school leaving certificate
• Certified copy of the results of your placement tests if you had to pass it
• Certified copy of your academic degree (if applicable)
• Certified copies of your transcripts of records
• Certified copy of your German language certificates
• copy of your passport and a personal data sheet

Certified copies of any required certificates and documents concerning your level of German must be submitted in German translation (English copies are accepted)

Due to the differences of the higher education systems foreign degrees and exams taken at a foreign universities cannot always recognized automatically. It is necessary to verify whether the university of the previous studies is accredited. Furthermore the years of study, the subjects of study, the exams taken, including scientific papers, will be examined. Grades from particular subjects of a degree and other exams will also be taken in consideration.

Applicants for medicine, dentistry and pharmacy have to follow a special procedure and submit an accreditation proof (Anrechnuungsbescheid) of their previous studies issued by a German Landesprüfungsamt. Applicants applying from abroad turn to the following offices:

2. Language Requirements

Language of instruction is German.

Applicants from non-German speaking countries must take the language proficiency test DSH-2 (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Bewerber) as prerequisite for admission.

Other certificates accepted instead of DSH-2 are:

- Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung
- Das Kleine und Große Sprachdiplom (Goethe Institute
- Sprachdiplom Stufe II (Kultusministerkonferenz)
- TestDAF (level 4 in all four exams)
