The theme week brings together current research from Jena - understandable, interdisciplinary and directly related to everyday life, technology and society.

How does life emerge? Where does it begin - and how far does it go? Under the guiding question "What is life?", the Friedrich Schiller University Jena's LIGHT, LIFE & LIBERTY profile areas invite you to a theme week and thus to exciting encounters between science and society.

From parasite research to photonics, from Goethe's morphology to nanorobots - experience what is being researched in Jena and what significance these findings have for our everyday lives. Open to all who are curious about the interplay of light, life and freedom of thought.
