FORUM DIGITALE UNI JENA

The FORUM DIGITAL UNI JENA took place for the first time on 1 and 2 June under the guiding theme "Digital skills for everyday study, teaching, research and work". The aim of the event was to promote dialogue on the digital transformation of the university, to strengthen digital skills in a practical way and to highlight current developments and application examples from the fields of study, teaching, research and administration.

In total, the forum comprised 70 contributions from 106 participants from 28 institutions. Around 270 people registered for the online day on 1 June with short presentations, mini-tutorials and workshops. A total of around 530 participants took part across all sessions. Around 120 registered participants took part in the face-to-face day on 2 June.

The FORUM was aimed at all members of the university: students, teaching staff, researchers and employees in the science support area. The programme reflected the diversity of digital skills in everyday university life and ranged from cross-cutting topics such as artificial intelligence, good practice examples and tool presentations for teaching, research and everyday work to presentations of central systems such as HISinOne (Friedolin 2.0), SAP and the document management system.

At the fair on the attendance day, 30 stands offered the opportunity for personal exchange with the employees of the various projects and institutions as well as for networking across departmental boundaries. The themed tables in the afternoon provided additional space for in-depth discussions and dialogue on current issues relating to digital transformation. Participants were able to share experiences, discuss open questions and jointly develop perspectives for the further development of digital skills at the university.

The next FORUM DIGITALE UNI JENA is planned for 2028. We would like to thank all contributors and participants for their active participation and commitment.
