The lecture period in the winter semester at Friedrich Schiller University Jena starts on Monday, 2 November 2020. All first year students and some students in higher semesters will study both on site and online. The University has used the past weeks and months to adapt its teaching to the local corona situation. While, as in the summer semester, there will still be online lectures, the University will offer more face-to-face courses again. All first semester students will have the opportunity to meet their fellow students in person and get to know their new university and its facilities. The University’s hygiene concept as well as adapted group sizes and room occupancy allow us to offer you a real study experience in a safe environment. Students who are at high risk of severe illness and therefore unable to attend face-to-face courses will be provided digital access to the content by their teachers.
From mid-September, you will be able to see in Friedolin which courses in your study programme will be carried out digitally or take place on site.
