Financing is one of the most important aspects that have to be taken into consideration when planning your stay abroad— so start thinking about it well in advance. If you take part in a bilateral exchange programme, you do not have to pay any tuition fees at our partner universities abroad. (Take a look at the list of exchange places).

When planning your stay abroad, you should expect the living costs to be higher than in Germany. Firstly, you will have to travel to your place of study. Secondly, food and accommodation can be more expensive in other countries. You should therefore check various financial support options beforehand.

In this section, we listed some of possible scholarship programmes for your study-related stay abroad. Unlike the ERASMUS+ programme within Europe, you should apply for exchange places and scholarships, respectively.
