Citizen Science: How Digitization Showcases the Cultural Heritage of Cities

Session Description

The EC2U network is characterized by the fact that the universities are firmly connected to "their" cities. All partner cities in turn look back on a rich history. Cultural heritage is often closely linked to university development. The cities are the attractive background of the EC2U network and are working to provide the best conditions for students and researchers. Digitization is breaking new ground to preserve the city's cultural heritage and make it accessible to the public. The cooperation with the universities is often very close and fruitful. Current projects of the cities will be presented in the session, not least a joint European funding application at Interreg Europe.
