The Center for Energy and Environmental Chemistry Jena (CEEC Jena) is a scientific center of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena (FSU Jena). This interfacultary center bundles the competences of the FSU Jena as well as the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems IKTS (Hermsdorf). The research center has currently three main research areas: energy conversion, energy storage as well as green tech. This running research activities include amongst others photocatalytic hydrogen generation, photovoltaics (integrated solutions, polymer solar cells), new battery concepts (e.g., sodium batteries, polymer-based batteries – printable batteries and polymer-redox-flow-batteries) as well as different membrane technologies (ceramics as well as polymers).
