In addition to our main advisory services, we offer the following possibilities to support students in their study orientation phase. Please register for your visit at least 3 weeks before the desired date via Service Desk:

Lecture by the Central Student Advisory Service
If you prefer a more general approach, we can also inform you about our range of courses, access to the University (application, admission, and enrolment), and give you tips for successful study orientation.
If your group already has specific questions, you are welcome to send them to us in advance.

Campus Walk
How does it feel to study in Jena, where are the courses offered and what exactly does everyday life at the university look like? Get to know our campus at Ernst-Abbe-Platz. A large part of the university buildings are also located in the city center.

Cafeterias and canteens
In cooperation with the Thuringian student services organizationExternal link, we offer our visitor groups the opportunity to get to know the cafeteria at Ernst-Abbe-Platz. Prospective students will be given an authorization card with which they will be able to have lunch (Cafeteria’s current menu).External link

Library services
The Thuringian University and State Library (ThULB) is responsible for the information and literature supply of the Friedrich Schiller University. It offers its more than 58,000 users not only numerous classical media such as books or journals, but also a wide range of full texts and electronic resources such as e-books, e-journals and databases.
