Students of the FSU

All students of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, including PhD candidates, must enrol via the online administration system Friedolin.

You must pay the course fee when you have been admitted to the course.

Please present proof of payment to your course instructor no later than the second week after courses start.

Regular participation is required for you to be admitted to the exam and to obtain credits.
A separate registration for the exam is NOT necessary.

Course participants other than FSU students

Employees of the FSU, students and Doctoral/ PhD students of other German institutes of higher education as well as guests can join our language courses if there is spare capacity.

Please follow the relevant link below depending on your status.

  1. Complete the visiting student application [pdf, 331 kb] de.
  2. Send it by e-mail to the secretary's office of the Language Centre.
  3. We will mail you back the confirmed application.
  4. You mail the application with the required attachments to the  Student-Service-Centre de (Studierenden-Service-Zentrum/ SSZ.
  5. The SSZ forwards your application to the University computer centre de (Universitätsrechenzentrum/ URZ). From there you will receive the information for self-registration.
  6. Then register for your course via the electronic course catalog Friedolin. de
  7. Transfer the course fee after admission in Friedolin.
Doctoral/ PhD students of other German institutes of higher education Show content

  2. Send it by e-mail to the secretary's office of the Language Center.
  3. We will forward your application to the Student-Service-Centre de (Studierenden-Service-Zentrum/ SSZ.
