What can I expect after my doctorate? What opportunities do I have and how do I find suitable jobs? Answering these questions and planning the next career step after the doctorate is a challenge for many doctoral candidates. The Career Days provide orientation for the transition phase after the doctorate with practical tips and tricks. 

The Career Days will take place online from 14 to 16 November 2023. The event includes three formats: impulse workshops, information lectures and career talks. Registration is possible from 16 October 2023 via the Qualification PortalExternal link of the Graduate Academy. You can find an overview of all offers here.

Event formats

    Impulse workshops In the morning from 9 am to 12 pm short interactive workshops will take place online. They provide the opportunity to discuss several career related topics with other participants. There is only a limited number of places availible. Registration is required.
  • Panel talk

    Career talks with alumni The career talks take place online each day from 1 pm to 2 pm. During short interviews alumi share insights into their career paths after the PhD and give tips for career devellopment. Afterwards you will have the opportunity to ask questions. Registration is requiered.

    Information lectures The information lectures will take place in the afternoon from 2 pm to 4 pm. After each talk you will have the opportunity to ask questions. Registration is necessary.
  • Alumni talk 2019

    Panel discussion On 15 November we host the panel discussion „AI in the Application Process and the Work Environment“ in the auditorium of the Graduate Academy. Afterwards there will be a small buffet and the opportunity to network. Seats are limited. Registration is required. The discussion will be in German.
