VPN access
Description
The University Computer Center (URZ) offers you secure access to the internal university network via a VPN (Virtual Private Network). You can log into the university network of the Friedrich Schiller University while on the road and thus access services that are only available within the university, such as local intranet applications as well as database and journal services of the Thuringian University and State Library (ThULB).
Request and authorization
The VPN access is available with the activation of your URZ account (University Computer Center). Automatic provisioning occurs with your enrollment or with the start of your employment contract and the activation of your user account through self-registrationExternal link.
For the instructions and downloads at the bottom of this page, you must log in with your FSU user login.
For advanced permissions, contact your EDP supervisor EDP supervisorExternal link of your department /administrative unit.
