Discovery Days You can get to know the lecture theatres and seminar rooms at the University of Jena through a range of events for groups and individuals. You can also find out which specific topics are covered in each subject.

Open Campus in student paradise We open our doors to all prospective students each year at our University Information Days, where our staff and students present their degree programmes and offer personal advice – in virtual events or live on campus.

We offer advice on all aspects of studying! If you have any questions about studying, you can talk to our student advisors in person, via Zoom or by phone. We also offer open group consultations several times a week.

Orientation workshop for undecided applicants Register now for our online orientation workshop! We will help you recognize your talents and identify your academic and professional aspirations.

Infomobil: our service for schools Have you already heard of Infomobil, our mobile information centre? We drive to schools around the country to offer pupils advice and support. Are you planning a career guidance day at your grammar school? You can count on us! We will set up our information stand and present our wide range of degree programmes.

The Central Student Advisory Service will be closed from 22 December 2025 to 2 January 2026. We will be happy to assist you again from 5 January 2026!

We offer consultations in person, by telephone, and via Zoom. You can make an appointment by calling us on +49 3641 9-411111 (Mondays to Fridays from 9:00 to 11:00) or outside these office hours on +49 3641 9-411200. You can also use our remote help desk.

Consultation hours:
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (9:00 to 12:20), Tuesdays (14:00 to 18:00), and Wednesdays and Thursdays (14:00 to 16:00).
