Individual study guidance
This is primarily about you—the focus is on your situation and concerns. We provide confidential, open advice and help you discover your personal strengths, interests, and career aspirations, so that you can find the right field of study for you.

Finding the right study programme can be a long process. You should take advantage of various offers to get more information about your studies.
Orientation workshops
Have you just finished your high school and are trying to filter out the right study programme out of 10,000 possible study options? Because this is indeed a herculean task, we want to help you with our orientation programmes. Our workshops are geared towards high school students in the last two years of their education who are interested in studying at university.

Study options from A for American studies to Z for zoology. Our university presents a comprehensive range of study programmes at the University Information Day in May.
Individual advisory services
Our key task are counselling and helping our students embarking on their university studies. We also advise them when problems occur during their studies. In addition, we can help clear up questions related to career goals. To what extent can you put your studies into practice in professional context? Please do not hesitate to contact us and arrange an individual appointment.

Workshops
The Central Student Advisory Service hosts workshops, either itself or in cooperation with experienced external trainers. In our workshops, you can learn and train methods and techniques useful for your studies.
Study Orientation Days
When you start your studies, a new episode begins bringing many changes into your life. To make it easier for you to embark on your studies, we organize induction courses and study orientation days together with the faculties at the beginning of each semester.
Extended introductory phase in the first year of study
The introductory phase does not end when the lecture period begins. For this reason, we want to support you in your first year of study with specific offers. Both giving you knowledge about study-specific methods and reflecting the beginning of your studies play a considerable role.
Career Service
When graduation day approaches, many students are faced with the same question: what should I do now after my graduation? What career options do I have, if any, and which of these appeal to me? Where can I find job vacancies and what is the correct application procedure? We can help you on your way into your future.
