Friedrich Schiller University Jena (represented by the Head of Administration, Fürstengraben 1, 07743 Jena, Germany), processes the personal data provided by you in your application (master data, contact details, health data or other sensitive data if applicable, etc.) for the purpose of carrying out the application process. After receipt of your application, your data will be stored by the Division for Human Resources of Friedrich Schiller University Jena and forwarded to the respective responsible offices for the purpose of applicant selection on the basis of merit.

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR in conjunction with section 27 of the Thuringian Data Protection Act (Thüringer Datenschutzgesetz, ThürDSG) and with section 79 of the Thuringian Civil Service Act (Thüringer Beamtengesetz, ThürBG). If it has been established that no employment relationship will be concluded, your data will be deleted after a maximum of six months. If it has been established that an employment relationship will be concluded, your data will continue to be stored and processed for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship. In this case, you will be informed about the processing of data again.
