Lunch Lecture "Mental Health during the postdoctoral phase"

As part of the Postdoc Appreciation Week, the Graduate Academy is organising a Lunch Lecture on 19 September from 12:30h to 13:30h on the topic "Mental Health in the Postdoc Phase". The online event will provide an insight into current data, information about what the University of Jena has to offer, and room for discussion and exchange. The language of the event will be German.

• 12.00h: Information about the general offers of Graduate Academy for postdocs
• 12.30h: Lecture "Mental Health during the postdoctoral phase" followed by a question and answer session

Background:
Mental health has become an increasingly important topic at universities since the Belgian expert Katja Leveque published a study on the mental health of PhD students in 2017 (LinkExternal link). With the pandemic years 2020-22, the mental health of researchers has become an issue that the majority of people are aware of. Our lecture provides an overview on the topic for the postdoctoral phase based on facts and figures: What do studies such as the recent NATURE postdoc study say about the status quo of postdoc mental well-being, what are the challenges, what is the state of research?
