Ticket sale for the University Summer Festival has started

Traditionally, the University of Jena celebrates its Summer Festival on the last Friday in June. Once again this year, students, employees and guests of the University are cordially invited to the festival grounds in the Botanical Garden, Griesbachgarten and around the planetarium when Jena's biggest party gets underway on 27 June from 6 pm. One day later, on 28 June at 6 pm, the event "Classics in the Botanical Garden" will take place there again.

Highlights of this year's Summer Festival, which will be opened for the first time by the new University president Andreas Marx, include live performances by bands such as "Eine Band namens WANDA", the "JenaBigBand" and the cover band "The True Colors". DJanes Kim Noble and 2elements will be back again. There will also be a "Drag and Slam" stage, where Heidi Witzka will be performing. Stilt walkers and University Sports dance groups will bring movement to the festival area and a music workshop invites you to listen and sing along around the campfire. Guests of all ages can also take AI-generated selfies in a photo box as a souvenir of the festival.

The "Classics in the Botanical Garden" programme includes works by Mozart, Boccherini, Beethoven and Dvorák. The "Dresdner Residenz Orchester" and the "Chursächsische Streichersolisten" will perform. In addition, dance classes and readings invite you to move and linger, and the new Goethe-Laboratorium in the recently renovated Inspector's House opens its doors to visitors.
