"I’ve completed my studies—What now?" — A portrait of our graduates Show content

When deciding on a specific course of studies, career prospects play a key role. But what if I neither know what my dream job is nor which study programmes open up which possibilities?

Graduate biographies can provide guidance. A Portrait of Our Graduates section therefore presents graduates of the University, gives details of their current occupations and their careers. Our graduates also present their personal experience, e.g. regarding knowledge and skills that they require for their profession, of what their studies have contributed to their success, and about specific qualifications in question. Their personal reports give you some ideas about how you can plan your own career early on.

Another option for finding out information about different jobs and getting into direct contact with companies is to attend job fairs and career days. At corporate stands, you can get a tip or information about the best way to apply to the company directly by the company representative. In addition, you can attend exciting workshops, have your application checked by professional advisers, and even have an application photo taken free of charge.

The company networking fair of the Friedrich Schiller University also takes place on an annual basis. More than 50 employers present themselves directly on campus and look for committed students and graduates. If you want to know more about the companies participating there, you can check the list of exhibitors on the official website. From the exhibitor catalogue, which will be on display on the day at the venue, you can see which companies are interested in students from specific faculties.
