Support for international students
Go East is an initiative run jointly by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the German Rectors Conference (HRK) and the German Eastern Business Association.
The initiative promotes academic exchange with countries in Central, South-Eastern, and Eastern Europe and in the countries of CIS in order to even out the current imbalance in academic exchange with this region.
The programme supports single-semester study visits to partner universities, participation in winter and summer schools and internships at companies in the Russian Federation.
