Service for Business and Science

Successful knowledge and technology transfer thrives on cooperation between science, business and society. We offer support:

• Through suitable matching events with partners from science, business and society,
• In the initiation and implementation of joint research projects, cooperative projects and collaborative research,
• In the initiation and implementation of research contracts (contract research),
• In the identification and development of innovation potentials as well as
• In the exploitation of research results, e.g. by licensing property rights.

Cooperation Projects with Business Partners

From the initiation to the implementation of joint cooperation projects with scientists of the University Jena, business partners are supported by the Service Centre Research and Transfer with the following services:

• Advice on collaborative funding programs,
• Finding suitable cooperation partners at the university,
• Support in the administrative application process and in the drafting of contracts
• Presentation of patents and inventions

Contract Research for Industry

Identifying and opening up Innovation Potentials (Nucleus Jena, in collaboration with Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena).

We offer scientists:

• Advice and support for their projects, from the initial idea to the realization of the research project
• Access to both universities, to research networks, regional economy and social actors
• The generation of new cooperations and exploitation ideas
• Information on consulting and funding sources at EU, federal and state level as well as foundations
• Events of various formats at which they can increase their visibility and reputation, at which they can network with potential cooperation partners from science, industry and society, and which serve as a platform for mutual knowledge transfer
• Support for research proposals in terms of transfer and exploitation strategies

We offer business partners:

• Access to the University of Jena (and to our cooperation partner Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences) as well as to research networks and social players
• The identification of needs-oriented questions and the development of solutions
• Access to state-of-the-art technical infrastructure, production methods and experts in cooperation with researchers
• Consulting and support of your project from the idea to the exploitation in joint projects with the two Jena universities

Current research results with transfer potential and previously not utilized patents can offer important potential for companies and strengthen competitive positions.
