Information about starting your studies

We are happy to welcoming you at the University of Jena so that we can start the new semester together. For all new students, the Orientation Days always take place before the start of the lectures to make it easier for you to get started. Before the first semester starts, there will certainly still be many questions: How do I create my study plan for the first semester? How do I register for a course? Whom can I turn to if I have subject-specific questions?

To answer all these questions, we organize Orientation Days at the University Jena from 4 to 14 October 2022. You will receive general and subject-specific information on the organization of your studies and you can make yourself familiar with offers and facilities of the University, and get insider knowledge from advanced fellow students in your subject.

The welcoming ceremony will take place on 4 October in lecture hall 1 (Carl-Zeiß-Straße 3) and will be also viewable via livestream here on this site.
