Technical support for lecture theatres and PC pools
Some of the university's lecture theatres and seminar rooms are equipped with functional and modern media technology. These are operated via an integrated media and room control system. Microphones, sound systems, single or double projections, visualisers and various connections for external devices (laptops etc.) are available.
From the PC pool (only Ernst-Abbe-Platz 8) it is possible to print to a print system. Printouts are possible in DIN A3 and DIN A4 formats in black/white and colour.
The external service provider currently commissioned for this is the company GreenIT, which provides the relevant printing device. Location: next to the PC Pools service point at EAP 8.
Authorisation and costs
A valid thoska, which can be requested from the thoska office, is required to use this service. This service is subject to a charge.

Event support
We support users, outside of teaching, with media technology in the preparation and realisation of events, on the one hand with technology and, in consultation, also with personnel as far as possible.
Consultancy and planning of media technology equipment
The MMZ creates concepts and tasks for equipping lecture theatres and seminar rooms. Depending on the scope of the project, planning and tenders are carried out in-house or as a tender for planning services.
We supervise the realisation of the tender until acceptance and take over the warranty follow-up. The planning and realisation of interdisciplinary new buildings, conversions and extensions are also an important component.

Do you want to disseminate news and important information quickly? Then an information display is just the thing!
The Multimedia Centre offers you the opportunity to install a display to show presentations in image and text within the university. As the user, you are responsible for creating the content.
