Study programmes for guest students
- Guest students can apply for up to three subjects. Here you will find an overview of the possible programmes for guest students.
- Find out about the content of the programmes in the module catalogues for guest studentsExternal link.
- The content of the programmes you choose should match your degree programme at your home university.
- Pay attention to the language of instruction. Many coruses ar taught in German. Only some courses at Master's level are taught in English. You should have at least B2 level knowledge of the language of instruction.
- Note the study level: Bachelor's students choose modules at Bachelor's level. Master's students can choose between Bachelor's and Master's modules.
- The current courses of a semester can be found in the course catalogueExternal link.
Performance assessment/grades
- Examinations are assessed with a German grade or the predicate "pass"/"fail".
- Credits are only awarded for passed examinations.
- Regular participation in courses is compulsory.

Documentation and Transcript of Records
- Guest students can receive a Transcript of Records if the courses, modules and examinations have been registered via FriedolinExternal link by the deadline.
- After completing the examinations, the lecturers will enter your grade in Friedolin.
- Certificates for language courses are not recorded via Friedolin. You will receive a certificate from the Language Centre sent by e-mail. Forward this certificate to incoming@uni-jena.de .
- Once all grades have been submitted to the International Office, the International Office issues a Transcript of Records. You and your home university receive it by e-mail (and by post uppon request).
- Exception: There is a different form of assessment documentation for students in these programmes:
