WHO is being funded?
- Student teachers from the first semester onwards can apply to IDEAS.
- For the non-European universities, student teachers of all subjects can apply.
- Applicants for the University of Montréal in Canada need a French language level of at least B2.
- For the Spanish partner university, student teachers of German, DaF/DaZ and Romance studies can apply.
- Applicants for the Universitat de Barcelona need a Spanish language level of B1.
- For the French partner university, student teachers of Romance studies can apply.

HOW are the scholarships supported?
IDEAS scholarship holders are comprehensively accompanied in the preparation, during the study abroad and in the subsequent reflection. Therefore, in addition to the awarding of scholarships, the support also includes the inclusion in intercultural awareness trainings, support in organizational processes and various digital and/or present internationalization offers for student teachers. The scholarship holders also take part in a business game that enables them to work together with students from different countries.

- Curriculum vitae and letter of motivation
- Current transcript of records
- Letter of recommendation (issued by a professor)
- English B2 certificate, further language certificatesya as mentioned above
