Democratic resilience and antifeminist narratives - Antifeminist discourse shifts and their impact on gender equality and diversity in academia
In cooperation with the DFG network "Modes of Organisational Diversity", the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) invites you to the digital lunch series "Science and Equal Opportunities: Democracy, Bureaucracy & Freedom".
The digital lunch series focuses on current shifts in discourse in the science system that call into question fundamental values of equality, equal opportunities and diversity: Attacks on researchers, research fields and equality and diversity work are on the rise - embedded in broader anti-democratic currents. We would like to discuss with you how we can counter these developments and strengthen the resilience of the academic system in order to maintain an open and equitable environment.
The first digital event "Democratic resilience and anti-feminist narratives" will take place on 17 September 2025 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.. Stefanie Boulila (Institution of higher education Lucerne, RESISTExternal link), Arn Sauer (Federal Foundation for Gender Equality) and Gülay Çağlar (Freie Universität Berlin) will talk about anti-feminist shifts in discourse and the impact on equality and diversity in science.
Registration is required and is now possible.RegistrationExternal link
