Attending two lectures from the China Competence lecture series can be credited towards the China Competence Certificate with 4 teaching units (TU) in the elective module.

In her research project “Decoding China”External link and her recent book in German language “Dialogue with the DragonExternal link: How Strategic Empathy Can Strengthen Our Approach to China”, Marina Rudyak systematically analyses and contextualises the logics of action and strategic concepts underlying the political terminology of the Chinese Communist Party. In view of China’s growing economic and political significance, her lecture explores the country’s global initiatives and discusses their implications for science and research.
The lecture will last approximately 45 to 60 minutes, followed by a discussion and an opportunity to ask questions.
