Datenwerkstatt Jena - The Data & AI Literacy Datathon @ Uni Jena
During the Datathon, participants work in interdisciplinary teams on real-world challenges, strengthening their data and AI skills through actual projects. In collaboration with regional institutions, we provide data and questions to be addressed over the three-day event. Teams are supported by mentors.
The event is open to interested students from all disciplines and academic levels, regardless of specific prior knowledge. The Datathon can be completed as a standalone event with a certificate of participation or as part of the Data & AI Literacy certificate program.
Safe-the-Date: Datathon 2026
From October 5th to 9th, our Data & AI Literacy Datathon "Datenwerkstatt Jena 2026" will take place.
Datathon Bootcamp (optional):
Prior to the main project work, we offer preparatory workshops on October 5th and 6th. Participants can receive introductions to methods and digital tools that will aid in addressing the challenges. Participation in the Bootcamp is optional, and individual workshops can be selected based on personal interests.
Project Phase (October 7th - 9th):
During the following three days, project work will occur. Workspaces for teams and mentors will be available to provide support.
