FALLING WALLS Lab
A Science City Pitching Tomorrow’s Breakthroughs
Event details
Which are the next walls to fall?
Join us for the first Falling Walls Lab Jena 2026 and support the next generation of researchers and innovators as they take the stage.
At Falling Walls Lab, students, early-career researchers and innovators from all disciplines have just three minutes to present their breakthrough ideas: Which wall does their research aim to break? What challenge could their idea help solve? And which pitch has what it takes to make it all the way to Berlin?
Come along, support the pitchers – and cast your vote!
The main winner of Falling Walls Lab Jena will be selected by an expert jury and will qualify for the Global Finale on 6 November in Berlin, as part of the Falling Walls Science Summit 2026. There, they will meet an international community of researchers, innovators and decision-makers and take part in an extended programme of workshops, networking opportunities and visits to leading research institutions.
But the jury is not the only one making a decision.
— You have a vote, too!
Everyone attending Falling Walls Lab Jena can vote for the Audience Award. So come and discover exciting ideas from our regional scientific community, cheer on the pitchers and help decide which presentation wins the audience’s vote.
Every person in the room makes a difference – and every vote counts.
