Internship

Friedrich Schiller University offers pupils and students the opportunity to complete internships in institutes, administrative units, libraries, workshops and laboratories.

Pupils:

• Work placement (Betriebspraktikum)
• Internships as part of a full-time school education programme

Students at the University of Jena:

• Subject-related compulsory interim internship in accordance with the Examination Regulations and Internship Guidelines of the Tarifgemeinschaft deutscher Länder (Collective Agreement of German States)

Application for pupil internships

1. Please enquire at the institutes in advance whether an internship in the desired subject area|field is possible at the given time. This first contact can be made by telephone or e-mail. Detailed information about the fields of activity of individual institutes, departments and research groups can be found by doing a little research on the homepage of the University of Jena. Please submit your CV, last school report and a motivation letter by e-mail to the desired (subject) area|field.
2. Once the institute has confirmed your application, please send the complete application documents as a PDF to praktikum@uni-jena.de at least 6 weeks before the desired internship start date.

Your documents will be processed by the Human Resources Department, which will issue you with the official internship confirmation. The processing time can take up to 4 weeks.
