Visiting students who are full-time students elsewhere

Study at two institutions of higher education
Laptop

Profit from our partner universities

Those studying in full time at our university but are otherwise enrolled at other institution of higher education are classified as visiting students. They usually attend two, sometimes even three subjects, one of them being at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, including all non-assessed coursework and examinations. The opposite of being a visiting student is having a status of a full-time student, the latter at the institution of higher education at which you are enrolled. In this case, organizing studies is often more demanding than when studying at a single location. This is not just due to the fact that there are different rules for comparable issues, and that you have to find and handle two different contact partners, but also that course registration differs from institution to institution. Both examinations offices and subject-specific advisers will help you keep track of everything.
