The Thuringian State and University Library (ThULB)External link supplies the Friedrich Schiller University Jena with lots of information and literature. It provides over 58,000 users not only with numerous classic forms of media (e.g. books and magazines), but also a diverse range of complete texts and electronic resources (e.g. e-books, e-journals and databases).

The wide range of training courses at the start of each semester also include introductions aimed at new students.
