Assisting you with the application process

When looking for assistance for research activities of your researchers, your central point of contact is Service Centre for Research and Transfer. The Service Centre assists you with:

If you need help with application for one of the coordinated programmes from the DFG or for purchase of major research instrumentation, you may contact the Office of the Vice-President for Research.

If you are interested in data management, publication services, archiving, and quality control of research data, the Research Data Management Helpdesk de will be glad to advise you.

Funding schemes

The Friedrich Schiller University offers funding opportunities to its young researchers and academics.

Doctoral researchers and postdocs have access to the scientific exchange programme ProChanceexchange  and the conference support programme IMPULSEconferences. Applications for both programmes can be submitted on an ongoing basis.

Once a year, the University of Jena supports its early and advanced postdocs gaining their own third-party funds IMPULSEproject or to improve their employability ProChancecareer .

The ProChance programmes promotes equal opportunities in academia and for this reason only addresses female doctoral and postdoctoral students.
