"Reverberation" in the Green Office
For staff and students
Once a month during the lecture period, we organise "Nachhall" - an active breakfast break with coffee or tea and sustainable conversations. Guests from the university and the city are regularly invited to present their projects. There is also space for free exchange. All affiliates of the university are cordially invited.
The next round will start on 17 April 2025 before the Sustainability lecture series with Karsten Gäbler as a guest.

Sustainability lecture series
For staff and students
The lecture series offers an insight into current issues, central topics and controversies in sustainability research and presents different disciplinary approaches to sustainability problems. The event is open to interested parties from all disciplines and degree programmes.

Sustainability certificate programme
For students
The Sustainability certificate programme offers students and doctoral candidates from all disciplines the opportunity to further their education in the subject area|field of sustainability and to set an individual focus in their studies or doctoral phase. The programme can be acquired in the two levels "Basic" and "Advanced".

From vegan food and cycling to children's rights: Numerous students at the university are involved in various aspects of sustainability. New colleagues are always welcome!

Sustainable project cheques
For students
With the sustainable project cheques, students can receive financial support for the implementation of their own sustainability project at the university. Groups and individuals can apply. The job advertisement|invitation to tender for research applications|call for tenders is issued once a year. The Friends and Sponsors of the University of Jena financially support the selected projects with up to 1000 euros. The Green Office offers support and advisory service(s)|consultations to the recipients if required.
