The European Universities
Europe Week 2025 focuses on two key historical events: the founding of the Council of Europe on May 5, 1949, and the Schuman Declaration of May 9, 1950, which is considered the starting point for today's European Union.
In July 2019, the European Commission launched the first "European UniversitiesExternal link" – a visionary project that strengthens the quality, attractiveness, and international competitiveness of European universities. On the occasion of Europe Day, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) proclaimed "European Universities Week." Further information can be found on the DAAD websiteExternal link.
EC2U, the University Alliance of the University of Jena, and the accompanying national project FECT invite you to reflect on Europe and take action – in your studies, research, and everyday work, both within and outside the EC2U Alliance.
A warm welcome to all interested parties!
All offers and current events of the entire EC2U alliance can be found at ec2u.eu. Please also check the EC2U website de of the University of Jena for more information regarding upcoming events.
