    External link

EC2U is a European university alliance comprising nine universities, funded under the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme.
The alliance’s aim is to gradually develop a shared European campus that integrates teaching, research, innovation and social responsibility.

    Explanation
  • Topics and Objectives

The EC2U Alliance aims to strengthen cooperation between European universities in research, teaching and innovation. It promotes international networking among students, researchers and societal stakeholders. The initiative is centred on four thematic pillars: health and well-being, high-quality education, sustainable cities and communities, and peace, justice and strong institutions. Another focus is on addressing global challenges in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Overall, the Alliance aims to shape a sustainable, shared European education and research landscape.

    Goals
  • EC2U in Jena and Europe

The EC2U Alliance connects the University of Jena with nine partner universities across Europe. It promotes close cooperation in research, teaching and social engagement across national borders. In doing so, it brings universities, cities and other stakeholders together in a shared exchange. Through specific projects and initiatives, European cooperation is actively practised and further developed. The aim is to shape a strong, internationally networked education and research landscape.
