Electronics technicians specialising in energy and building technology are experts in the electrical supply of modern buildings. They plan, install and maintain electrotechnical attachments - from power supply and safety lighting to lightning protection and fire detection and fire alarm systems.
They also take care of the installation and facility|institution|(structural) unit of building management systems and data networks, ensuring smooth communication and control. The installation and maintenance of control and regulation equipment for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems are also part of their diverse range of tasks.
The profession requires technical understanding, manual dexterity and a high sense of responsibility, as safety-relevant attachments are often involved. Electronics technicians for energy and building technology make a decisive contribution to ensuring that buildings can be used in an energy-efficient, safe and comfortable manner - and thus make an important contribution to a modern and sustainable infrastructure.
