Possible work-related consequences
Employees affected by addiction or substance misuse may face legal consequences, which can include disciplinary warnings or even termination of employment. Furthermore, in the event of a workplace accident, insurance coverage may not apply if the accident was caused as a result of the consumption of alcohol or other drugs.
