The potential relevance of sex and gender in research topics is not always apparent at first glance. We support researchers by providing information and training opportunities to help them become aware of these aspects and find ways to integrate them into their own research. We also provide advisory services for planning and organising academic events (you can find an example here) and connect you with experts both within the university and through our network "Geschlechteraspekte im Blick"External link.

A particular focus is on research funding: for some time now, attention has been paid at national, European and international levels to taking the relevance of sex and gender into account when developing research topics. In collaboration with the Service Centre for Research and Transfer (SFT) at the University of Jena, we offer an advisory service specifically on this aspect of the application process. Within the SFT’s funding advisory service, there is a designated contact person for your faculty.
