The potential relevance of sex and gender in research topics is sometimes not immediately recognisable. We support researchers with information and training programmes to help them become aware of these aspects and find ways to integrate them into their own research. We are also happy to advise you on planning and organising scientific events (you can find an example here de) and connect you with experts both within the university and in cooperation with our network 'Geschlechteraspekte im Blick'External link.
A special focus is on research funding: at national, European and international level, the relevance of sex and gender has been taken into account in the development of research topics for some time. In cooperation with the Service Centre for Research and Transfer (SFT) at the University of Jena, we offer consultations specifically on this part of the application process. The SFT has a contact person responsible for your faculty in the funding counselling department. If you need support in the 'relevance of sex and gender' when preparing a research funding proposal, please contact this person or contact us directly.
