Why Open Educational Resources?

Open Educational Resources (OER) promote open and low-threshold access to education and knowledge. Through freely usable and customisable teaching and learning materials, they support exchange in university teaching, facilitate the reuse of materials and can contribute to quality assurance and the visibility of good teaching. OER thus strengthen a collaborative and contemporary teaching and learning culture.

    The Virtual Campus Thuringia (VCT) is a cross-university Moodle platform for digital learning and teaching in Thuringia, which is managed by the IT Centre of the institutions of higher education in Thuringia (HS-ITZ). The VCT can be used to make courses and materials available to students and teaching staff and make them available for reuse.
