Event details
Join the EC2U Online PhD Workshop!
Have you ever paused and wondered: Why did I actually start this PhD? Between deadlines, feedback, and the daily grind, it's easy to lose touch with the spark that brought us here in the first place. This online workshop invites you to reconnect with your initial motivation, your personal values, and your dreams for what your research could contribute to the world. Through a short, evidence-based input on values and motivation, a guided reflection exercise, and open exchange with fellow PhD students from across Europe. You'll craft your own personal "Why statement", a compass you can return to whenever the path feels foggy. No prior preparation needed, just bring yourself, a pen and an open mind. We'd love to have you join us!
This Workshop is part of "Empowering PhD", a workshop series by the EC2U GLADE PhD Network, designed to support you through the real, messy and meaningful journey of doctoral life. Through honest conversations, practical tools, and connection with peers across Europe, we tackle the topics that matter but rarely get talked about: from navigating failur to finding your "why". Come as you are, leave with more clarity, courage and a community that gets it.
