Division 1 – Student Affairs revolves around the students academic curriculum. We take care of our students from their first orientation towards study programmes, the application and enrolment up to study organisation and alumni service. With about fifty employees, we are the essential institution connecting students and the Universitys administration.
All questions related to study orientation and study organisation, such as enrolment, admission, leave of absence, change of programme, de-registration, general study consultation and matters related to the student card (Thoska) are managed by the Study Service Centre. The Central Academic Advisory Service can be found there as well.
Students of masters programmes receive guidance from the Master Service Centre.
The Academic Examinations Office (ASPA) supervises students of the Faculties of Arts and Behavioural Sciences (mainly Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Teacher Training) in all matters concerning exams and academic performance.
The online course catalogue can be accessed via the Friedolin online study system, where students also register for lectures and exams.
The section Academic Controlling, Planning and Statistics compiles student statistics and other vital administrative information.
The section Continuing Education offers additional education programmes designed for professionals, seniors, companies and administrative and scientific staff of the Friedrich-Schiller-University.
