The Academy for Teaching Development has raised 30,000€ from the Ernst Abbe Foundation in order to be able to continue to advertise the funding line "Student Initiatives Plus" from the winter semester 2023/24. The projects are characterised by a particularly high level of student commitment with regard to strengthening or improving teaching and learning progress at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. For example, they make an important contribution in the introductory phase of studies, integrate interdisciplinary elements into everyday teaching and strengthen the component of career orientation in studies. The funding line primarily enables multiple, time-limited financial support for student engagement in the area of teaching. This is in contrast to the "Student Initiatives" funding line, which has already existed since 2018.
