Interactive self-study course on generative AI in teaching
Building on the self-learning course "genKI-Führerschein - ChatGPT und Co. im Studium sicher einsetzenExternal link", which has already provided many students with an orientation in dealing with generative AI in their studies, a tender specially developed for university teaching at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena is now available: The "genKI driving licence for teaching" is now available on Moodle in German and English.
The course addresses typical questions and uncertainties of teaching staff in dealing with generative AI and offers a compact orientation for use in teaching and examination contexts. In the course you can expect, among other things
- an introduction to the central functions and limitations of generative AI
- short, practical instructions for possible didactic application scenarios in teaching
- categorisation of ethical, ecological and legal issues surrounding generative AI
- tips for dealing with AI in teaching and examination situations
The bilingual course is available to all members of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena on Moodle. To the course "genKI driving licence for teaching" on the Moodle of the University of JenaTheExternal linkcourse has also been published on the Virtual Campus Thuringia and can be used by all institutions of higher education in Thuringia as part of the eTeach network Thuringia and beyond.
