National Genomics Data Center
Short description
The National Genomics Data Center (NGDC) is a national-level data infrastructure for genomics and bioinformatics research in China. It was established in 2019 and is based on the BIG Data Center at the Beijing Institute of Genomics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The repository provides comprehensive services for biological data archiving, management, integration, and analysis. It hosts large-scale genomics datasets supporting global research in genetics, bioinformatics, and biomedical sciences.

Video tutorial
Illustrated guides are available explaining how to search for genomic datasets and access the various thematic databases integrated within the platform.
Access notes
Datasets are organized into multiple thematic sub-databases. The main portal acts primarily as a search interface that directs users to the appropriate specialized databases for data access.
Repository overview
The NGDC integrates numerous biological data resources and provides infrastructure for genomic sequencing data, functional genomics datasets, and bioinformatics resources.
With a total repository size exceeding 91.8 PB, the center supports global collaboration and large-scale biological research projects.
